Permanent full-time

As part of our newly established Technology function, you'll be the first point of contact for day-to-day technology support across the business, helping keep our people connected, productive, and supported.

Based in Petone, you'll provide support across our offices, construction sites, regional teams, and joinery business throughout the Central and Lower North Island, both remotely and on site as required.

Reporting to the Technology Manager, you'll help deliver a positive technology experience across the business. Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing first-line technology support and resolving day-to-day technical issues.
  • Coordinating user onboarding and offboarding, including accounts, equipment, and access.
  • Managing technology assets and supporting equipment procurement and setup.
  • Assisting with system rollouts, delivering user training, and facilitating technology adoption.
  • Supporting cybersecurity, information management, and documentation processes.
  • Liaising with external technology providers to resolve support requests.

You'll also have opportunities to contribute to technology projects, system improvements, and the continued growth of our technology capability.

We are primarily a Microsoft based environment, with systems across local AD and MS365. We also rely on various software systems for delivering our construction projects, and managing information needs across the business.

Who we're looking for

You'll enjoy solving problems, taking ownership, and helping people get the most from technology. You’re approachable and proactive, and comfortable picking up the phone or heading out to site to work through a problem alongside a team member. You use your judgement to recognise when a conversation or support in person will get the best result. Ideally, you'll bring:

  • Experience in customer-focused IT or technology support.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • The ability to manage competing priorities and stay organised.
  • Clear communication skills and a customer-focused approach.
  • An interest in emerging technology systems, including how AI could be leveraged to support our business
  • A collaborative approach and alignment with our values of Integrity, Responsibility, Respect and Support.

Experience working with external IT providers would be an advantage.
