Grant's career at Maycroft reflects his dedication and commitment. Starting as a Carpentry Apprentice in 1988, Grant learnt the skills of the trade and earnt the title of Apprentice of the Year. Over time he progressed into various roles including Site Manager, Contracts Manager and Commercial Manager, and currently holds the positions of Director and Chief Executive Officer.
Through these roles Grant gained a comprehensive understanding of the Maycroft approach. Recognising the importance of trust in any successful relationship, Grant prioritises building connections with our customers, community, and team, ensuring that Maycroft remains a trusted name in the industry. Grant has been influential in the growth of our team, business and capabilities and he will continue to leave a lasting impact in his current role.
With his strategic expertise, commitment to excellence, and leadership skills, Grant contributes to Maycroft's foundation for long term success.


Blair plays a key role in developing accurate project estimates and determining overall costs, helping to give our customers confidence from the outset. With over 30 years of industry experience, he brings strong analytical skills, deep knowledge of commercial management, and well-established relationships with local subcontractors and suppliers. Blair works with our team, engineers, architects, and subcontractors to ensure each estimate reflects a practical, well-considered approach, always keeping the customer's budget and goals front of mind. His expertise spans procurement, quantity surveying, and final account negotiations, and he has delivered cost planning across a wide range of project types, construction methodologies, and procurement models. Blairs adaptable and solution-focused approach ensures he can provide sound, tailored cost advice for any project.


Andrew is Commercial Manager for Maycroft's Central regional team. With a long work history in construction in the Manawatū-Wanganui region, Andrew offers local, expert advice to our clients and staff alike. Working on large-scale builds like the Milson Line, New World Pahiatua, and Property Brokers, Andrew is proud to be offering Central clients Maycroft's collaborative, practical construction solutions. In his work, Andrew is relationship-focused and systematic, working steadily towards the best outcome for the client. His previous work experience as a quantity surveyor for some of New Zealand's largest construction companies is complemented by a Bachelor of Business Studies (Finance).


Bruce has been in accounting public practice for more than 20 years. Over that time, he has worked with a number of clients in the construction industry, from small operators to large corporates. He is passionate about all things finance, including strategic advice, systems implementation and process enhancement. He enjoys working closely with clients providing strategic financial advice. Bruce also has a background in information technology, working in the industry as both a technician and as part of the tax technology team for a multinational professional services network. This combination of accounting and IT expertise makes Bruce a valuable team member.


Hendrik is a Sustainability Advisor with a background in building science, specialising in building performance and sustainability. His interest in the built environment was shaped early on, having seen first-hand the impact poorly performing buildings can have on people's health, wellbeing, and daily lives. Driven by a desire to improve how buildings are designed, delivered, and operated, Hendrik focuses on reducing environmental impact across the full building life cycle from construction through to long-term use and renewal. He is motivated by the opportunity to influence positive change in how we build, balancing performance, resilience, and sustainability.


Kim brings a strategic and people-focused approach to her role as Marketing & Communications Lead. With experience across brand development, corporate communications, and stakeholder engagement, she ensures Maycroft's story is shared with clarity and purpose. Kim works closely with teams across the business to support internal culture, strengthen customer relationships, and showcase the work we're proud of. Her passion for authentic communication and community connection aligns closely with Maycroft's values, helping us build not just great buildings, but a strong, trusted brand.


Kim champions the use of smart processes and systems across our business, to enable us to be more efficient, more effective, and more consistent in our work. She ensures our processes reflect positively on the Maycroft brand and contribute to our vision, purpose and values. Kim studied business process improvement at the University of Auckland and holds a Master of Business Administration from Massey University. She honed her skills in the retail and FMCG (fast-moving consumer goods) industries, first at Mitre 10 Mega and later at Foodstuffs. Outside of work, Kim is a mentor for the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport. She also enjoys creative writing and a spot of pilates.


Kirstin brings over 20 years of commercial business experience to her role as People and Culture Lead, with a strong focus on fostering organisational culture and enhancing employee capabilities. Her expertise in aligning HR strategies with business goals ensures impactful results, supported by exceptional relationship-building skills and commercial acumen.Thriving in dynamic environments, Kirstin values adaptability and embraces varied challenges. Dedicated to continuous improvement, she leverages her deep understanding of people and culture to drive positive change.As the leader of our HR Team, Kirstin drives initiatives to enhance employee engagement, development, and organisational success. Martin is passionate about people and organisational development. Throughout his career, he has held many high-level roles within the food production industry including roles at Tegal and Barkers where he built on his experience in Operations Management, Health & Safety, and Human Resources. At Maycroft, Martin promotes company culture, values, and vision while overseeing operations to keep our business on track. Drawing on his 15 years of Lean manufacturing experience, Martin uses these principles to help Maycroft reduce waste, provide exceptional customer value and strive for continuous process improvement.


Beginning in the industry as a Carpenter, Marty used his eye for detail to ensure high quality finishes. As he moved up through Site Foreman to Site Manager, he continued to apply this attention to detail and deliver the best possible end result to clients. Marty prides himself on his readily available, friendly nature, encouraging both clients and those working on site to approach him with ease. These excellent people skills and a commitment to seeing a contract from conception to completion make Marty a valuable addition to the Maycroft team.


As Training & Development Manager, Mike helps our team members develop their careers within the construction industry by assessing training needs and providing mentoring, support, and training programmes. His many years of experience in both the construction and educational sectors have set him up with the right mix of expertise and passion to lead Maycroft in building great people. Mike follows a values-led approach which strengthens our strong team culture. Mike understands the challenges and intricacies of the industry, allowing him to provide practical insights and guidance that go beyond theoretical knowledge. Outside of work, Mike is likely enjoying the outdoors diving or spending time with his wife and children.


Nathan began his career with a BE (Hons) in Civil Engineering at Canterbury University. He has since worked as a Site Manager, Site Engineer and Quantity Surveyor for some of the biggest construction firms in New Zealand. Now, he's our Operations Manager operating from our Palmerston North office, offering services tailored specifically to our clients' needs and helping Maycroft deliver construction expertise to the Central Region.Nathan specialises in large commercial structural projects, as well as the procurement and supply of precast concrete and structural steel. He has a whole team approach, working with the client and consultants in a collaborative approach. He values planning ahead to foresee potential issues and providing assistance by presenting alternative solutions or construction methodologies, always working towards the best outcome of time and cost for the client.


Nigel is the Commercial Manager for our Wellington regional team. He began working for Maycroft Construction in 1996 as a Trainee Quantity Surveyor while studying for his degree in Quantity Surveying. After several years on staff, he departed for an eight year OE, working mainly at Bowmer & Kirkland Ltd, one of the UK's most successful privately-owned construction and development groups. He returned to Maycroft Construction in 2010, with a mass of new knowledge in estimating and construction. Nigel's skills range from measuring, estimating and preparing schedules to financial control of projects and working with subcontractors and consultants.


Phil has been with Maycroft since 1993, bringing decades of experience across a wide range of roles. As Director of Project Planning, he plays a pivotal role in shaping the success of our projects from the outset - setting the standard for quality, consistency, and customer focus. Phil excels at building strong relationships with customers and consultants, turning ideas into reality through clear communication and collaboration. His extensive construction knowledge and proven leadership enable him to support multiple teams and disciplines, helping ensure Maycroft's continued success and reputation for delivering great projects.


Stephen is passionate about guiding and supporting the character of Maycroft. Alongside the leadership team, he ensures that all decisions affecting the company uphold our values and help to achieve our vision for the business. Stephen has many years experience in leadership and governance assistance, including a period as General Manager at Maycroft. During his time as CEO of the award-winning Mitre 10 Mega stores at Petone, Upper Hutt and Porirua, Stephen opened the new Porirua store, successfully steered the business through the GFC, and built up a strong leadership team.


Stu is the Contracts Manager for our Central North Island team, where he oversees multiple projects. He is an experienced Project Manager with proven communication and time management skills. Stu knows how to navigate the dynamic nature of the construction industry to deliver each project as promised. As a licensed building practitioner with carpentry and site licences, Stu has the technical expertise to solve problems as they arise. Stu has managed several builds in the region, including the Property Brokers head office and Foodstuffs distribution centre in Palmerston North and the upgrade of Pahiatua's Main Street. He works hard to foster relationships with his clients and enjoys seeing the passion and pride that clients have in their projects. Outside of Maycroft he's a member of HOG, the Harley Davidson Owners Group, as bikes are one of Stu's passions.


Tom is highly experienced with four decades of expertise in commercial construction. Throughout his career, Tom has consistently delivered successful projects, earning a reputation for his dedication to excellence and his ability to achieve results. He has a comprehensive understanding of all aspects of commercial construction operations, making him an invaluable asset to any project. Tom specialises in preconstruction planning, design collaboration, and resolving technical challenges. He is skilled in contract management, facilitating effective communication and collaboration among stakeholders. Additionally, Tom excels in customer liaison and team collaboration, prioritising customer satisfaction. With his wealth of knowledge and experience, Tom brings valuable insights to every project he undertakes.


Wayne is our dedicated Health & Safety Manager, bringing over a decade of expertise in the construction industry's health and safety field. His extensive background includes system administration, policy development, incident investigation, and risk management. Wayne's proactive strategies prioritise team health, safety, and wellbeing. He thrives in construction's complexity and high-risk environment, eager to contribute to Maycroft's safety journey. Wayne's passion for people and safety drives his commitment to enhancing our health and safety standards. Wayne holds a Diploma in Workplace Health & Safety Management, registration with ProfNZSIM (NZ Institute of Safety Management), and membership on the Health and Safety Association of New Zealand (HASANZ) register. Outside of work, football has been a huge part of Wayne's life, playing at a high level in Auckland, then playing, coaching and being on the junior committee at Petone Football Club for over 17 years, as well as being involved in managing and coaching at Hutt Valley High School for seven years at the same time.


With decades of experience Aaron has become a well accomplished Site Manager with a strong skillset and experience, proven through his involvement in many large scale and complex local projects. He has a broad knowledge of a range of construction techniques and methodologies and a strong track record of delivering projects on time and to budget. He enjoys the organisational aspect of liaising with suppliers, contractors, and clients.Aaron is health and safety proactive and will go the extra mile to monitor each site, ensuring all work is done not only safely but accurately and to a high standard.


Andrew leads Maycroft's specialist Joinery Division with a strong focus on craftsmanship, detail, and delivery. With extensive experience in joinery and project coordination, he ensures each piece that leaves the workshop meets the highest standards of quality and functionality. Known for his practical problem-solving and clear communication, Andrew works closely with customers, architects, and teams to bring complex design visions to life. His leadership supports the Joinery team's reputation for precision, pride, and excellence core to Maycroft's values and the success of every project.


Arlen brings a sharp analytical mind and a proactive approach to his role as Estimator at Maycroft Construction. With a background in quantity surveying and a passion for precision, he plays a key role in preparing accurate cost estimates and supporting the delivery of competitive, well-considered tenders. Arlen enjoys the challenge of breaking down complex builds and collaborating with project teams to provide clear, informed pricing solutions. His work reflects Maycroft’s values of integrity, reliability, and strong client relationships.


With over four decades experience in the construction industry, Brent has seen almost every challenge that a Site Manager can face and yet, he knows there will always be something new. He meets these challenges with his consistent methodology, commitment to quality, and unerring attention to detail. It was these qualities that earnt Brent a New Zealand Institute of Building Award in 2015. A team player, Brent provides logistical support through oversight and health and safety, technical support for consultants, and hands-on support for the apprentice team and subcontractors.
Brent is particularly interested in heritage buildings, both residential and commercial. He has extensive experience in their upgrade and refurbishment. With this knowledge and thorough planning, he can deliver a build that meets client's needs while respecting the historic fabric of the building.


Having previously operated his own successful construction business, Craig brings invaluable real-world experience and passion to his role as Site Manager. He is skilled in leading site operations, coordinating construction teams, managing subcontractors, and delivering projects safely, efficiently, and on schedule. Craig believes that open communication and collaboration are essential for building strong relationships, gaining knowledge, and understanding different ways of thinking.
For his teams, Craig creates an engaging and supportive environment that encourages active participation and the development of critical thinking and problem-solving abilities, enabling our team to navigate challenges with confidence and adaptability.


Dave is a well-organised Site Manager who has played a key role in the completion of many of our projects, a notable project being the Bupa Fergusson Retirement Village; Dave thrives in complex design environments.
Dave is a natural mentor of young team members and encourages safe and best construction practices.


Etienne is a Project Manager with a strong background in delivering construction projects across a range of sectors. He brings a practical, organised approach to each project, with a focus on planning, coordination, and clear communication from start to finish.Etienne enjoys working closely with customers and project teams to solve problems and keep projects moving forward. He values the relationships built along the way and takes pride in seeing a project come together on site, delivering outcomes that everyone can be proud of.


Glen has an eye for detail and is a great finisher. He enjoys taking a step back at the end of the job and taking pride in what he has achieved. A great asset to our team, Glen's pride in project outcomes is also shared by our clients. His considerable industry experience has resulted in countless successful projects across both commercial and residential environments in the UK and in the Wellington region.


Hamish has worked as a Quantity Surveyor on a wide range of projects, from very large, multi-year seismic strengthening projects through to small (yet intricate) interior fitouts. With many years of construction experience, he has built an excellent skillset and can assist throughout the course of a build, from early contractor involvement through estimating and quantity surveying to final accounts.
Whether working as sole Quantity Surveyor or as part of a larger team, Hamish strives to find solutions that benefit Maycroft's clients. His approachable, reasonable nature makes him liked by clients, contractors, and co-workers alike.


Hernie’s story is one of growth and achievement, evolving from a dedicated cadet to a Services Manager known for her expertise in complex projects such as the SPIRE Palmerston North Hospital upgrade that included 6 operating theatres and a Catheter Lab. Her significant contributions to the Manukura Campus Development helped transform a temporary setup into a permanent, state-of-the-art facility that fosters both academic and sporting excellence. Hernie managed quality assurance, documentation, and services coordination, ensuring smooth progression from design to completion.
Hernie holds a Master of Architectural Science (Project Management) from Victoria University of Wellington, where she was honoured with an Excellence Award. Before joining Maycroft, Hernie was an Assistant Engineer for a HVAC company doing mechanical design and commissioning. Her career is further enriched by international experience as a Project Engineer in China and Singapore, where she oversaw the construction of three ice ships under tight deadlines and navigated multilingual challenges. Hernie’s diverse background and dedication make her a standout leader in delivering impactful, well-executed projects.


James joins our team with broad experience on construction sites in roles ranging from Labourer through to Contracts Administrator and Health & Safety Advisor.
He understands the dynamic nature of construction sites and works closely with project teams to implement and maintain health, safety and wellbeing practices. His risk management, problem solving, and communication skills all come into play as he promotes Health & Safety as a positive point of difference with our employees, sub-contractors, and stakeholders.
James also holds formal qualifications of a Bachelor of Sport and Exercise and Certificate in Workplace Health and Safety - Level 3.


James is a seasoned Senior Quantity Surveyor with extensive experience in construction. His expertise encompasses tender management, subcontractor coordination, cost reporting, and full project build estimates. At the University of Wolverhampton, he earned an MSc in Construction Project Management and holds a BSc (Hons) in Human Geography and Physical Geography from Oxford Brookes University.His standout project, Holybush Farm in Oxted, Surrey, posed unique challenges in groundworks remediation and logistics due to its bespoke nature and high-end specifications. James enjoys outdoor pursuits such as bouldering, hiking, and surfing in his spare time, alongside his passion for soccer. His well-rounded skill set and hands-on experience ensure efficient project delivery and effective team management within the construction industry.


James is a highly experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor with over a decade of comprehensive experience in the construction industry. With a background predominantly in refurbishing sites within the hospitality sector, he possesses exceptional project understanding and attention to detail. James excels in value engineering, having worked extensively within a design and build company where projects often required adjustments to stay within budget.His skill set includes efficient multitasking, managing competing priorities across various projects, and maintaining strong client and subcontractor relationships. James is adept at estimating and fast-paced project delivery, often turning around project costings and getting projects to site within tight deadlines.A standout project for James was the construction of The Bat and Ball in Westfield shopping centre Stratford, where he played a significant role in value engineering the design to meet the client's budget. Despite challenges such as tight timelines, difficult site conditions, and evolving client requirements, James' expertise, teamwork, and communication skills ensured successful project delivery.James holds a Bachelor of Science in Quantity Surveying and Construction Commercial Management from Nottingham Trent University.


Jason has more than two decades of experience to draw on as he directs his clients projects. Originally trained as an Architect, Jason spent his early career as an Architectural Designer and Builder on residential and commercial jobs. He later moved into project and contract management, overseeing the design and construction of many large commercial and infrastructure projects in the Manawatū, including associated civil works. Jason is a hands-on leader, who enjoys coordinating people and resources to achieve results. When faced with a problem on a project, he puts in the extra effort to find and implement solutions that will keep things on track.
Outside of work, Jason has lent his expertise to projects in his hometown of Levin, including the fit-out of the Muaūpoko Tribal Authority office and the design and construction of the Halliwell Hockey Turf.


Joe is an Estimator with a strong focus on accuracy, clarity, and building a solid foundation for successful projects. He plays a key role in the early stages of delivery, working through pricing, methodology, and risk to support well-informed decisions.
Joe enjoys the problem-solving side of estimating and works closely with project teams to develop practical, competitive submissions. He values teamwork, attention to detail, and contributing to bids that reflect both quality and value.


John's time in the construction industry has provided him with a broad knowledge base and he is always up to date with the building sector as it strives to construct cleaner, greener buildings.
As a Service Manager at Maycroft John is able to optimise his expertise as an accredited Energy Master Auditor and Commercial Building Specialist. His areas of knowledge include HVAC Systems, heat transfer, lighting, mechanical and pumped systems, and active and passive solar energy systems. He is proficient in Commercial Energy Management, Energy Auditing and Renewable Energy Design and openly shares his knowledge with his teams.
John consistently works closely with our clients to ensure their project requirements are met and is a valuable member of our team.


Justin is one of our experienced Site Managers having worked his way up from a Carpentry Apprentice. He has natural time-management, programming, and planning skills and builds positive working relationships while motivating others to perform at the best of their abilities. A favourite construction project of Justin's was a complex and challenging upgrade to a community sports hub. He found it rewarding as the upgrade had been something the community had been waiting for and could now enjoy for a long time.


As Regional Planning Manager, Kayvan plays a key role in ensuring Maycroft’s projects are thoroughly and effectively planned. He drives consistency, quality, design management, and customer focus – addressing planning challenges and laying the groundwork for successful delivery. Through collaboration, mentorship, and a strong commitment to Maycroft standards, Kayvan helps deliver exceptional outcomes and build lasting trust with customers and stakeholders.


With over five years experience across commercial, remediation, education, and infrastructure projects, Kevin brings a practical, solutions-focused approach to project delivery. Starting his career in New Zealand as a labourer, he developed a strong understanding of local construction practices before progressing into leadership roles managing complex, multimillion-dollar projects. As an Associate Project Manager at Maycroft Construction, Kevin is known for his hands-on leadership style, strong communication skills, and commitment to delivering safe, high-quality outcomes on time and within budget.


Kim provides a general liaison with clients to achieve quality project outcomes within or better than the time constraints. She believes the best way to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes is through openly discussing cost-saving options and feasibility of design.Kim appreciates the demands of running a business; prior to joining Maycroft in 2017, she was Director of her own construction company for over 20 years. While moving back to her core skill set of quantity surveying, her previous experience ensures she can empathise well with clients challenges and provide expert advice.�


In his role as a Site Manager, Kyle organises labour and resources to keep the worksite and his clients projects running safely and efficiently. Kyle is a qualified builder and has been in the industry for over 20 years. He has worked in residential and heavy commercial construction in Australia and New Zealand and has gained a thorough knowledge of groundworks and working with precast panels.
Kyle has contributed to many builds in the Manawatū; one of the most memorable was site-managing the construction of aviaries for the Wildbase Wildlife Recovery Centre.


Lachlan has a strong background in procurement and project delivery. He works closely with contractors, consultants, and project teams to plan and deliver successful outcomes, with particular expertise in trade packaging and procurement strategy.
Known for his organised approach and strong attention to detail, Lachlan builds positive relationships and brings a collaborative mindset to every project. He is committed to delivering quality results and supporting teams to achieve their goals.


Lourence brings nearly three decades of construction experience across commercial, education, aquatic, community, logistics, and retail projects throughout New Zealand. He works closely with customers, consultants, and project teams to build strong relationships, solve challenges early, and keep projects moving with confidence.
Practical and approachable, Lourence combines strong planning, programme coordination, and risk management with a focus on quality, safety, and delivering the right outcome for every project.


As a Site Manager, Luke manages the construction process in order to deliver quality projects on time and to cost. Whether he is procuring materials, managing subcontractors, or ensuring a safe worksite, Luke is enthusiastic about his job and skilled at motivating others too.
A carpenter turned Site Manager, Luke has gained a vast range of experience alongside some of the most experienced tradesmen in the Wellington region. One of his most memorable projects was restoring a 1930s neo-Tudor style residence in Lower Hutt, which needed detailed carpentry work to restore the building's original rimu features and keep its special character.


Maddie is a Preconstruction Coordinator with several years of experience in the construction industry in both New Zealand and Australia. With a combination of strengths including strong communication, attention to detail, and a positive attitude, Maddie is eager to learn and assist with project and company needs.
Maddie holds a Bachelor of Building Science from Victoria University of Wellington, including majors in Project Management and Sustainable Engineering Systems. Outside of work, Maddie enjoys pursuing her interests in Scuba Diving and Netball for her local clubs.


Marcus brings a practical, hands-on approach to every project, backed by a career that began as an apprentice and grew through hard work, reliability, and a commitment to quality. As a Site Manager at Maycroft Construction, he leads with precision and professionalism, keeping projects running safely, smoothly, and on programme. Known for his strong communication skills and calm approach under pressure, Marcus works closely with teams and subcontractors to deliver high-quality outcomes on time and within budget.


Throughout his career in the construction industry, Nicholas has progressed from Hammer Hand to Quantity Surveyor. Working at a variety of respected construction companies, he has built up valuable experience of the industry. In addition to his QS qualifications, he has a New Zealand Certificate in Business to broaden his understanding of the myriad of factors involved in any build.
As a Palmerston North local, Nicholas knows the challenges faced by Manawatū businesses and the unique commercial situations they operate in. He has managed projects throughout the region, from urban Palmerston North to the burgeoning regional centres. He specialises in commercial builds, particularly precast concrete works.
With his experience, local knowledge and dedication to detail, Nicholas offers Maycroft clients impeccable advice to ensure on-time, on-budget builds.


Nick enjoys seeing a project evolve from a drawn form to an actual physical entity. As Planning Manager, he oversees progress monitoring and forecasting of live projects, as well as estimating commitments for future ones. Using high quality programmes and methodologies, he offers our customers reliable outcomes.
Originally from the UK, Nick has worked for over a decade with national New Zealand contractors in both the North and South Islands. He has a grounded depth of experience in the local construction industry and has used this experience on a diverse range of projects including retail, education, defence and distribution hubs.


Nigel has dedicated himself to the building industry for many decades. He was appointed Site Foreman as soon as he finished his apprenticeship and has been keeping work sites productive and safe ever since.
While experienced in a range of construction activities, Nigel specialises in interior finishings. His well-trained eye-for-detail ensures every aspect of the build is finished to perfection, no matter how small the detail. This can be seen in the high-quality finishes in two of his favourite projects, the Children's Garden at the Wellington Botanic Garden and the Boulcott Farm Heritage Golf Club. Nigel believes effective communication is the key to a successful project. He is proud of the relationship he has built with the Upper City Council and the projects that have come from it, such as the refurbishment of H2O Xtream and the Upper Hutt Library.


Philip has a reputation for exceeding our customer's expectations. With over three decades of industry experience across a range of roles Philip has acquired invaluable expertise in both the United Kingdom and New Zealand. He has comprehensive construction skills and knowledge across the entire lifecycle of projects. Philip takes pride in leading safe and productive projects.
His vast experience across a range of complex projects has honed his ability to tackle any challenge that comes his way. A collaborative approach and drive for excellent outcomes means Philip builds positive working relationships with our customers, project teams, stakeholders, and subcontractors, ensuring that all parties involved are satisfied with the end result.


Rob initially joined us as a Project Administrator with a strong will to progress into Project Management. With his enthusiastic and safety-first attitude, Rob is now an Associate Contracts Manager and is responsible for organising and resourcing construction sites. The teachings from our Project Administration programme provided Rob with a broad knowledge of what is involved in different parts of our business and industry. Each key phase of pre-construction and construction is taught within the programme, including both on-site management techniques as well as interpersonal communication techniques.
Rob graduated from Victoria University with a degree in Building Science and a double major in Project Management and Sustainable Engineering, which reflects both his practical nature and a passion for a sustainable future.


Sarah manages the day-to-day administration and pricing of our Joinery Division. This encompasses programming, material orders, design work for various new projects and production of working drawings for the factory and CNC machine. She has an eye for design and detail, thanks to a degree in industrial design and time spent as a Kitchen Designer. When working on a project, Sarah calls on her creative and critical thinking skills to achieve effective results.
Working alongside Andrew, our Joinery Manager, Sarah has a leadership role in ensuring the smooth and efficient running of our Joinery Division. Together, they lead the day-to-day running of the Joinery Division as well as the development and implementation of initiatives and technologies that aid in the continuous improvement. Ultimately providing quality service to our customers which aspires to exceed their expectations.


Steve is an experienced Site Manager with a diverse construction background in the UK and New Zealand. He excels in building positive relationships with customers and subcontractors, while effectively leading and coordinating teams. Steve's creative thinking enables him to solve complex technical issues and achieve optimal outcomes. Notable projects he has contributed to include the Kotuku Apartment complex and the new Memorial Hall for Wellington College. With a strong commitment to excellence and staying updated with industry trends, Steve consistently delivers successful results as a trusted Site Manager.


Previous to working at Maycroft Construction, Sulo gained valuable experience in the competitive Singaporean construction industry. She began at Maycroft Construction in 2010 and has provided expert quantity surveying to our Wellington clients ever since. Whether preparing the schedule of quantities, estimating tenders, managing subcontractors, preparing budgets or monitoring costs, Sulo exhibits a professional and diligent work ethic. Her most noteworthy projects include the Todd Park Tenancies and the Trentham Dental Facility, where her attention to detail is readily apparent.


Tane has specialised in getting buildings built throughout his career. Starting out as a cleaner in a timber yard, he then trained as a carpenter. Since then, he has moved up through the management ranks to Senior Project Manager, but one thing remains the same: his commitment to completing high quality projects.
A major project for Tane was supervising the Majestic Centre Seismic Upgrade for Wellington's tallest building. This complex project operated 21 hours a day, six days a week for four years and included large teams and multiple sub-contractors. Tane excels in assessing, determining, and forecasting the best course for a project. By sharing his extensive knowledge and mentoring others, he helps build strong, talented teams.


As the Interior Systems Manager, Tony leads our gib-fixing and plastering teams. He has considerable experience in the interior construction process, particularly in suspended ceilings and interior finishing.
Tony has a mind for logistics and a knack for building relationships, both of which help him ensure his teams deliver quality work on time and to budget.
Tony remembers his first major projectKumutoto House in Wellingtonwhich taught him a huge amount about the construction industry. It was the first Greenstar building he had encountered and was an enjoyable project to be involved in.



Tony has been a key member of the Maycroft team since 1993. Tony is very experienced in all forms of construction and has a passion for helping others reach their potential. He has an extensive history of experience in the construction industry and has been described as a walking NZS 3604.
He is skilled in identifying potential risks and implementing measures to mitigate them to avoid delays or cost overruns.
Through his vast experience, Tony is well-equipped to handle the complexities and challenges of construction projects efficiently and successfully.


Troy brings expertise across the construction and demolition sectors, with a strong track record of delivering complex, large-scale projects. He leads with a proactive focus on health and safety, risk management, and team performance, consistently driving outcomes that exceed expectations.
Known for his collaborative style, Troy works closely with customers, consultants, and stakeholders to ensure seamless project delivery. His forward planning and problem-solving mindset underpin his ability to deliver on time, within budget, and to a high standard.
Standout projects include the Massey University Vet Tower Demolition and remediation works at the Shelly Bay Air Force Base, demonstrating his capability and commitment to excellence.


Will loves successful outcomes. His favourite part of his job as Project Manager is delivering physical realities as efficiently and effectively as possible, focusing on delivering something that fulfils the customers wants and needs.
Originally qualified as a Mechanical Engineer, Will progressed from Engineer to Site Manager and on to project manager. He is results-driven and resourceful with extensive experience of project delivery in the construction industry. He has been involved in a diverse range of projects, including fuel system installations, commercial building construction, and research and development projects.
His breadth of experience provides a well-rounded knowledge of project and programme delivery.
