For more than 70 years, Maycroft has been helping customers deliver projects that matter to their organisations and communities. The relationships we've built along the way are the foundation of our business and continue to shape how we work today.

Maycroft’s story began in 1954 when George Eric Maycroft founded the business in Lower Hutt.
Known for his integrity, craftsmanship and commitment to keeping his word, Eric laid the foundations for the company Maycroft is today. For more than 70 years, Maycroft has grown alongside the communities we serve, delivering quality projects across healthcare, education, commercial, industrial, civic and residential sectors.
While our work has evolved, our values remain the same: doing the right thing, building strong relationships and creating lasting value for the people and places around us. We’re proud to support our communities and invest in the future of construction through apprenticeships, cadetships and workforce development.
As an employee-owned business, many of the people delivering your project have a genuine stake in its success. Because we own the business, our customers benefit from a team that shares responsibility, takes ownership and is invested in building long-term relationships.

From our origins in the Hutt Valley, Maycroft has grown to support customers across the lower North Island. The establishment of our Palmerston North office in 2015 expanded our ability to deliver projects throughout Manawatū and surrounding regions. In 2018, Maycroft Joinery joined the Group. As a specialist joinery business, it serves commercial customers across the region, adding to the capability Maycroft offers as part of broader construction or as standalone joinery projects.
We communicate openly, honour our commitments and do what’s right, even when challenges arise.

We're proud to be one of eight independently owned regional builders that make up NZ Construction Alliance, a national construction alliance delivering projects across New Zealand.
We're locally owned and run. We employ local people, train local apprentices and work with local subcontractors and suppliers. When we win work, the value stays here, in our region.
Being part of NZCA means our clients also get the backing of a national network of experienced regional builders, while still working with a team that knows this region.
National Partner. Local Advantage.
