a bit About the role...

We are currently recruiting for a Site Manager for our Palmerston North team to take responsibility and be accountable for the performance of the construction process, ensuring that the project quality, time and cost objectives are met.

The role will involve leading and supporting our team across the whole company. This will involve understanding the overall business, and assisting in developing, implementing and positively reinforcing brand standards.

You will do this by:

  • Attending Project Establishment handover meeting with Project Manager (PM) and record tasks allocated for action
  • Implementing site set up plan with Project Manager and confirm temporary connections
  • Obtaining and reviewing the copy of the “for construction” documentation, H&S and Environmental QM, and Traffic Management Plans
  • Obtaining TA’s from early subcontractors and sent to HSQE Manager for review
  • Obtain building consent documentation and review requirements with PM and undertake tasks as required
  • Working with the PM and prepare on site 3-week rolling programme
  • Ensuring all paperwork and management systems are in place and operating smoothly
  • Undertaking site de-mobilisation as outlined by Project Manager
  • Assisting the Project Administrator with relevant completion information to achieve CCC and completion of The Building Manual
  • Assisting the Project Manager with completion of relevant sections of customer/ consultant/ subcontractor performance review for discussion at project completion meeting. Provide assessment on internal resources
  • Ensuring all H&S requirements are adhered to and met
A bit about you...
  • Commercial construction experience
  • Proven ability to plan and manage multiple demands, priorities, issues and risks
  • Proven ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with various stakeholders
  • An understanding of how services work
  • Knowledge of building methods and materials
  • Skilled in interpreting drawings and architectural plans
  • An understanding of building standards and safety regulations
  • Ability to plan, execute and review building projects
