a bit About the role...

We have just created an exciting new position for a Light Commercial Lead to join and lead our tight-knit light commercial team.

You will lead our Light Commercial and Virtual Facilities Management (VFM) division and have full strategic and operational ownership of a diverse, fast-cycle portfolio, everything from single-day call-outs to multi-trade refurbishments.

Your mission is to:

·         Set divisional strategy and deliver profitable growth.

·         Be accountable for the delivery, development and performance of small- to medium-sized projects, reactive maintenance, programmed services and interiors.

·         Champion customer experience and secure repeat business.

·         Coach and develop emerging leaders across Wellington and the Central region.

·         Drive programme, cost, quality, H&S and environmental performance.

·         Embed robust reporting, governance and continuous-improvement systems.

You’ll report to the COO and work closely with senior leaders, project teams, customers and subcontractors to protect Maycroft’s proud reputation and lift our capability.

Your Responsibilities...
WHAT YOU'LL Need...

·         10 years + experience in leadership of commercial construction, maintenance or service-delivery environment

·          Trade skills, facilities management experience and market knowledge

·         Track record managing multiple fast-moving workstreams and achieving margin, programme and quality targets.

·         Strong customer-facing skills, ideally with repeat-business or service-contract exposure.

·         Commercial acumen and risk-management savvy.

·         Enjoys mentoring and growing strong, capable teams.

·         Competence with operational systems (e.g. Procore, CRM or job-tracking tools).

·         Flexibility, resilience and a solutions mindset.
