We are a passionate team of people who build
We’ve had our roots in the Hutt Valley since 1954, and over this time have expanded our team and capabilities into a Central construction team in Palmerston North, and a Joinery team in Lower Hutt.
Our firm foundations of delivering quality buildings to pre-determined timeframes and budgets have held true over the decades as our portfolio of successful projects continues to grow.
Our Maycroft values have been the cornerstone of our success for over 65 years. They are part of who we are, what we stand for and how we work. They define our culture, our brand, our business and are visible in everyday workplaces as a key part of what we do.
The way we aspire to do business with our clients our supplier partners, our customers, communities, and each other are underpinned by our values of:
- Integrity – We behave in an honest and upfront way.
- Responsibility – We take ownership for ourselves and for any decisions we make.
- Respect – We always behave in a manner that is dignified and gracious.
- Support – We help others, both in general, and particularly in times of need.
We want to see our teams go home healthy and happy each day – it’s that simple. The health, safety and wellbeing of our team is fundamental to what we do. It’s at the forefront of our minds from the beginning to the end of all our projects.
Our systems and processes were assessed by SiteWise and graded with a 100% - Gold Status for 2021/22. And beyond complying with legislation, standards, codes of practice and industry best practice, we encourage and support healthy lifestyle choices in our team, and empower our team members to protect the safety of themselves and others on our sites.
Our approach is consistent across every project: we establish and maintain a good working relationship with the client, consultants and subcontractors, and complete the project safely and efficiently to the highest possible standard.
We approach every project knowing we’re part of a team. The client, project leader, construction and design teams are all kept up-to-date with the project timeline, the scope, potential risks or setbacks and health and safety statistics.
From Preconstruction, Building Information Modelling (BIM), New builds, Refurbishments, Seismic Strengthening, and Joinery, we have the experience and capabilities to match specific project requirements. We aim for complete client satisfaction, by delivering projects safely, within budget, on time, and to the highest standard.
We achieve success at Maycroft by delighting our clients and working in a way that is consistent with our values.
Our greatest asset and best tool is our Team. Each team member adds to the strength of Maycroft and the service we offer to our clients. We believe that success comes from our people and that inclusion and diversity enhance our culture. Our culture is unique and is what makes working for and working with Maycroft Construction so enjoyable.
We have a priority on developing great people and offer training programmes to ensure our team are leading with construction and management best practises. Our various management, leadership, apprentice, and cadetship programmes are for people in all areas of our business and we support self-development for those driving their own development and diversifying their skills.
NZ Construction Alliance
In 2019 Maycroft Construction became a founding partner in the New Zealand Construction Alliance (NZCA).
NZCA offers “national coverage, local delivery” and is a network of likeminded and similarly aligned regional construction companies across the country. A unique benefit NZCA offers is the ability to gain and share construction knowledge openly between Partners.
